This interactive workshop will introduce participants to Compassionate Systems Leadership (CSL) and the three main competencies upon which it is focused: intrapersonal development (building personal mastery for compassion and well-being), interpersonal skills (engaging in and facilitating reflective conversations), and systems awareness (using systems thinking and systems sensing to understand, interrogate, and alter the systems within which we work and the conditions these systems engender and sustain).
Participants will learn how this approach:
- connects to and honours local contexts (including Indigenous ways of knowing and being),
- contributes to the creation and sustenance of trauma-sensitive schools,
- promotes thriving through its emphasis on safety, empowerment, and collaborative partnerships between children and adults.
